FEAR 1978
Philo, Lee, Derf, Spit,
(biro)

I joined FEAR in '78 and first saw groups like the Controlers, Screamers, Dils, and the Mau Maus at the Old Masque, the Stardust Ballroom, and Larchmont Hall.

Journalists like Claude Bessy "Kick Boy" and Steve Samioff were there already documenting the change in music.

My friend Burt Good, guitar (78) and Jonnie Backbeat, drums (77) were in the band a short time before I was. We released the 1st FEAR single,"I love living in the city" and "Now you're dead" in Jan 78 after Jonnie left.

I replaced Jonnie because his girlfriend didn't like punk and Burt got canned as Lee took up full time rhythm guitar.
