It
must be October. Retailer Victoria's Secret has come up with
another "What is sexy?" spot to warm audiences up
for its annual fashion show, which airs November 15 on CBS.
ABC, which hosted last year's controversial special, passed
on the event this year.
The
new spot, created in-house and, like last year's, shot by
Pearl Harbor director Michael Bay, features Brazilian supermodel
Giselle Bundchen modeling a few scraps of lingerie in a penthouse,
observed only by a circling helicopter and, of course, a mysterious
stranger.
The
spot also features music licensed from drum and bass act Sol-i
via New York music house Bang
Music & Sound Design. Bang did not merely set up the
deal, however. Rather, Bang released Leap Before You Look
-- Sol-i's debut, from which the track is taken -- earlier
this year. Aging thrashers might also be interested, or perhaps
surprised, to note that Sol-i is the current pseudonym of
one Tim Leitch, former drummer of seminal L.A. punk outfit
Fear.
